Optional TomTom navigation system-sourced satisfactory, but many competitors units that are faster, more intuitive and have better graphics. Touchscreen interface is the same audio system just OK.

Base engine offers a competitive acceleration on paper, wqzxc but in practice always makes the CX-5 Sport feels a step behind its competitors. Surely there is a match of power, but we think the available 2.5-liter four-cylinder is a much better choice given the superior power and fuel economy penalty is very small. Regardless of engine, six-speed automatic shifts quickly and smoothly. We are also pleased that Mazda offers manual transmission in Sport for those who enjoy having more control of the driving experience (and the fuel economy is better to boot).
Technology package is available on both the Touring and Grand Touring models tacks of Smart City Brake Support System (see Safety section), wqzxc automatic and adaptive bi-xenon headlights, an auto-dimming mirrors, satellite radio and a TomTom-powered navigation system. The latter two items are available as a stand-alone option. Touring versions of this package includes automatic wipers, while the Grand Touring version gets keyless ignition / entry.
Base Sport comes standard with 17-inch wheels, full power accessories, keyless entry, air conditioning, cruise control, height-adjustable driver's seat, wqzxc steering wheel tilt-and-telescoping, rear seat 60/40 split-fold and four-speaker sound system with CD player, extra audio jack and a USB / iPod interface. Bluetooth Audio package adds Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, a touch screen interface, HD radio, Pandora Internet radio, automatic crash notification, read SMS text messages and voice control of audio systems. Foglights is a stand-alone option.
